Last week's question was whether the Russians reached the Moon...the answer is Yes and No. No Russians set foot on the Moon but 15 missions successfully landed on the Moon and collected samples before returning to Earth. One such mission crash landed on a mountain just hours before the Apollo 11 mission was due to carry out a Moonwalk!

There is a water survey in tutor pigeon holes this morning. Could you please complete it either this morning or tomorrow morning. I know tutor time is very busy but we would really appreciate them all being completed. Could you take a tally of how many students answer the questions and drop back to D10's slot in the registry trolley in the old reception outside the old hall. Thanks.

Overdue Library Books

We currently have almost 300 overdue Library resources which we would like back before we break up for half term.  If you have a book or DVD that is overdue, please either pop into the Library to renew it or return it  by Friday 19th October.

No one will be in any trouble; we would just like our resources back as other students may be waiting for them.

Please can I see any GCSE PE students that can help marshall the Junior School Cross Country that we are hosting tomorrow from 3.15 - 4.45pm (Wednesday) after school, at break time today in the new Sports Hall. I need about 16 of you lovely students and there are achievement points and chocolate available!

French & Spanish Revision Club

Both languages will be running today.

French will be in room 28 with Mr Jones and Spanish will be in room 10 with Mr Robins.

We will be looking at "The Perfect Tense" this week in French. This is an important tense to fully understand and therefore you should attend if you lack understanding.

Student Librarian Vacancy!

There is a vacancy for a Student Librarian in the Library team.  If you like books, using computers and helping others, this could be the job for you!

Application forms are available from the Library and need to be returned to us by Friday 19th October.  Interviews will be held after half term.
