• Exams Information for Students

    • Y11 Exams

      External Exams

      • iMedia Students: exam takes place Fri 11 Jan, 9am
      • BTEC Sport Students: On-screen re-sit exam will take place Mon 21 Jan, 11am
      • GCSE exams timetable in May/June can be found here

      For all exams:

      - bring all necessary equipment. A stationery shop is available in the Registry office

      - water bottles are allowed, but it must be in a clear bottle with no labels

      - pencil cases must be see-through

      - arrive by exam room 10min prior to exam starting

      - mobile phones must NOT be brought into exam room - they can be handed into the Registry office

      • Y10 Exams

        • Sport Studies Students: external exam to take place Fri 11 Jan, 1.30pm
        • Y0 Exams (internal) will take place in Feb/Mar '19. Exam timetable TBC
        • Maths Challenge for selected students will take place Thur 7 Feb '19, 11am
        • Maths Challenge qualifying follow-up round will take place Thur 21 Mar '19 - time TBC

        You must bring all necessary equipment to each exam. A stationery shop is available in the Registry office if you wish to purchase any equipment

        Mobile phones and other 'smart' devices must not be brought into the exam room. They can be handed to the Registry office for safe-keeping

          • Y9 Exams will take place in May '19. Exam timetable TBC
          • Maths Challenge for selected students will take place Thur 7 Feb '19, 11am
          • Maths Challenge qualifying follow-up round will take place Thur 21 Mar '19 - time TBC

          • Y8 Exams

            Year 8 Internal Exams

            Y8 Exams will start Mon 21 Jan '19. Core exams have been scheduled as follows:

            • Mon 21 Jan - period 5: Maths
            • Tue 22 Jan - period 3: English
            • Tue 22 Jan - period 5: Science

            All other subjects will take place in lessons; your teacher will advise you as to when each exam will take place

              • Help and Advice

                For help in subject work, topics and class assessments, please see the relevant subject teacher. They are best placed to give extra help and support.

                If you are worried about anything, such as:

                •   Learning, revision or topic coverage: see your subject teacher.

                •   Operational arrangements with exams: see Ms Talleraas, Examinations Officer, or Mr Brand,  Assistant Headteacher.

                Ms Talleraas’ office is next to the Registry office. Mr Brand's office is one of the new offices opposite the Cafe.

                You are expected to bring all your own equipment to exams. If you've forgotten anything, an Exam Shop is available in the Registry office (opposite the Finance office) where you can buy pens, pencils, erasers, calculators and maths equipment.
