In the area outside the hall near student reception there are two boxes that have been put in place for you to have your say. One is for speak outs and the other yellow post box is for anything related to your wellbeing. Please remember that anything that you put in the wellbeing box should not be confidential; it is for suggestions and comments that the student wellbeing team will respond to using the Moodle Wellbeing page.

MOBILE PHONES - THE RULES -IMPORTANT

Some students appear to be struggling to abide by the rules regarding mobile phones. MS Hooper and Mr Amos made the rules quite clear at the beginning of the year. All year groups without exception are expected to abide by the rules at all times.

Good morning Year 11,


Attached to this notice is the Booster Session Timetable for next week.  Please note the venue and time of the relevant Booster.  You will also find printed copies in the Year 11 Canteen and Student Reception.

 

This is also a last call for any raffle entry tickets for the Calthorpe Extra Programme.  We will carry out the prize draw next week.  Do not miss out on one of the many prizes.

Children in Need and World Children’s Day Mufti

On Wednesday 20th November, there will be a mufti day in aid of Children in Need and World Children’s Day. The suggested donation is £1 but, naturally, should you feel it appropriate to donate more, this would be gratefully received.  Usual rules regarding clothing and jewellery apply. Please see the attached PowerPoint for information about the chosen charities.

HBA Longlist Group: Final Meeting - Monday 18th Nov

The LOTF assessment is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 26th November during English lessons period 1 or 2.

Year 11 - Mock Examination Booster Sessions

Good morning,

Attached is a timetable for the Booster Sessions which will be taking place next week before each of the examinations.  The room and time of the session is indicated for each subject.  Please arrive on time for a prompt start.  These are helpful sessions to provide you with some 'Top Tips' before the examination.

For Booster Sessions starting at 12.20pm, you will be allowed to leave your lesson 5 minutes early to ensure that you arrive on time.

Mobile phone use

Mobile phones should be switched off and must remain in bags during the school day, unless you are in a designated phone zone during social time. Phones should not be carried in pockets, nor should ear buds/headphones be visible at any point other than at break. Please remember, phones should not be used to make or receive calls/messages. Any student needing to contact a parent urgently should do so by visiting the Hub and asking a member of staff to make contact on their behalf.
